42° — 11° AMIATA

From 941
Coordinates 42°53′N 11°37′E correspond to the of the sleeping Italian volcano Monte Amiata. The Tuscan landscape, gently flowing from the vast plains to the green hills, is crowned with a mountain far on the horizon. It gradually gains altitude without disturbing the tranquility of the valley landscape. The slopes of the mountain are covered with beech, pine and chestnut forests, forming a centuries-old eco-system. A plain at the foot of an extinct volcano inspired the ARCHIPÉLAGO designers to create the Amiata table. The classic black marble countertop is reminiscent of solidified lava, a reference to the ancient volcanic rocks that are still found on the slopes of Monte Amiata. The table top can be made of marble or natural wood veneer. The Amiata table can be placed in a functional area of a public or private interior - the lobby and the living room.
